And I mean that. I'll even say good morning to Matthew McConaughey. But definitely not Vivek. We've got some quick updates for you today. Let's get to ***The News***. --- ### Color Commentary Vice President JD Vance, when asked a direct question about the corruption of the Trump Administration, said he has [seen no evidence](https://thehill.com/homenews/administration/6161375-vance-trump-corruption-perception-2028/?ref=danielkherndon.com) that President Trump has enriched himself from the White House. To be extra clear about his insistence that he hasn't noticed any corruption, he essentially said, "I don't see color," including red-handedness, red flags, blackmail, whitewashing, gray markets, blue walls of silence, and apparently all the green money collected by the Trump family since Trump took office. According to recent polls, Trump has an approval rating so low that Bari Weiss, Founder of The Free Press, actually thought it was JD Vance's credit score. When Donald Trump's personal physician saw his numbers were 36/60, he immediately called Walter Reed, thinking it was his blood pressure. He didn't realize that it was the New York Times poll, with 36% approving of Trump and 59% disapproving, his lowest rating he's received from the poll so far. On the topic of corruption, at least 60% of adults believe Trump has used the presidency to enrich himself illegally or unethically. Evidently, the data to support it is easy to find, because a good portion of it is stored on the Qatari jet that Trump received for free before his family engaged in a deal to develop a resort in Qatar. For more, here's [a thread](https://www.threads.com/share/JAkHfvQEK/?ref=danielkherndon.com) from Senator Chris Murphy including JD Vance's comments and a reminder of Trump's very obvious corruption. ### Musk Corp Elon Musk announced a possible merger between his crown jewels, SpaceX and Tesla. As their first order of business, Musk will rename the corporation LeXcorp and shift its focus to expose and discredit Superman and destroy everything he stands for. Here's [more about the merger](https://www.cnbc.com/2026/10/21/spacex-spcx-stock-musk-merger-tesla.html?ref=danielkherndon.com). ### Now Hiring After a tumultuous first 5 days in the role, it was announced last Friday that Katie Zacharia would be [leaving her position](https://slate.com/life/2026/10/katie-zacharia-fired-donald-trump-press-secretary.html?ref=danielkherndon.com) as Press Secretary. Experts say that the only thing with a comparable lifespan is a yellow banana. The White House has written a detailed description of her hair and body measurements to post as the job description. ### Violence Baguettes Violence In France, protests spread across several cities, emerging from a student protest about the cost of living, and growing into violence, looting, and burning down of buildings, including historic landmarks. The damage included the destruction of a cheese factory, leaving behind nothing but *de Brie*. Evidently, many of the protestors have been quite rude, which some say points to them being French. When French officials begged violent protestors to stop, one instigator insisted there would be no *merci*. Read about [Macron's response](https://www.reuters.com/world/europe/france-faces-aftermath-worst-unrest-years-2026-10-18/?ref=readtangle.com) to the riots. ### Meeting of the Mines President Trump said he would be open to a [trilateral meeting](https://thehill.com/homenews/administration/6158904-trump-open-putin-xi-summit/?ref=readtangle.com) with President Vladimir Putin of Russia and President Xi Jinping of China to discuss situations like Ukraine, AI safety, and more. Trump insisted, however, that to come to any agreements, neither of them would need to participate in the conversation. --- That's it for this week. ***Remember***: The Lorem Ipsum has seen no evidence to support the idea that you should not be sharing this email with your friends.
