New CDC Updates
Hey Friends,
Good Morning. Unless you work at the CDC, of course, because you’ll probably change your mind soon.
Who knows? Maybe mornings will be shortened by half. Perhaps we’ll learn that consumer-grade mornings are not as good as medical-grade mornings.
Anyway, let’s see what happened this week.
Well, this week I have been basking in the afterglow of Martin Luther King day. Especially because it reminds me of the national debt.
I’ll explain.
The national debt taken out by our grandparents in the 50s is something we are paying for today. The same is true when it comes to the damages that have impacted marginalized people groups.
I’m talking about voting rights. I’ll go deep in this week’s article.
But First, The News.
Hot Takes
Week 3 of 2022
Russia has not threatened nuclear war. But they have not not threatened to use nuclear weapons if the US gets involved in their tensions with Ukraine. Currently, this conflict is still in the swipe left or swipe right phase. The US is going to get coffee with Russia to see if they are chill with a little diplomacy.
The CDC Says prior infection with the Delta variant was very effective at providing immunity. The news has gone viral on Parlor.
A Texas Rabbi Throws a Chair. That’s how he and two other hostages escaped a gunman that held them for 11 hours on Saturday–using the Bobby Knight Method. The Gunman was killed in the standoff according to Police, but we’ve heard reports that the chair is in stable condition.
About The Earth Farting. A Volcano Eruption Near Tonga in the ocean caused Tsunamis to hit New Zealand, Australia, Hawaii, and California. To explain, this was sort of like farting in the tub, but the flatulent offender was earth instead of a person reading a book and drinking red wine.
We were surprised to find out that NY AG has uncovered “significant evidence” of fraud from the Trump organization. VERY Surprised.
While the details of the fraud allegations have not been disclosed, it appears that Trump’s hair care and spray tans written off as “marketing expenses” is actually legitimate.
Related: The Supreme Court also said that Trump’s records related to January 6th cannot be withheld under Executive Privilege.
It’s cool that Biden is sending us free tests! Free masks and tests are on their way but since Omicron seems to be retreating, I’m not sure I’ll use them, but thanks for thinking of me!!!
Welp… That’s it for the news this week.
Now here’s The Gist.
Rock The Vote Harder
The Gist
Should we make it easier to vote or harder to cheat?
This week, I’ve heard answers ranging from “it’s too hard already” to “it’s too easy as it is” The answer, you might say, depends on what the meaning of the word “is” is.
In this week’s article, I go into painstaking effort to capture the whole history of the American right to vote since 1776. And it is very revealing when you see the whole picture.
Hard to Cheat
People are talking about election fraud these days, and enacting laws to address it. This week, I’ll show you evidence confirming that elections have been stolen many times.
But it’s not what you’re thinking. Read more here.
That’s all I have for this week. Thanks for reading and sharing with a friend. See you next Friday.
Have a great weekend!
